Caroline Pimblett

Caroline has many years of experience supporting people across community and specialist eating disorder services. She understands how complex eating can be, especially when navigating restrictive eating, binge cycles, sensory sensitivities, fear foods, or long‑standing anxiety around nourishment.

She can help you make sense of your appetite and nutritional gaps, while exploring the impact that eating difficulties may have on your body, performance, mental wellbeing, and social life. Caroline also has expertise in working with people who experience gut issues related to the gut–brain interaction, such as IBS, which can make eating feel confusing and stressful.

She will work with you carefully and collaboratively to develop clear, personalised nutrition plans that honour both your physical needs and your emotional readiness, at a pace that feels safe and achievable.

Nutrition & Dietetic Practices:

  • Eating disorder-informed practice

  • Gut-brain interaction-informed practice

  • Perinatal (antenatal & postnatal) nutrition

  • Performance-focused nutrition

Caroline has worked for many years in specialist NHS eating-disorder services and multidisciplinary teams. She has supported people with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge-eating disorder, OSFED, night-eating syndrome, and ARFID. She brings a thoughtful understanding of how emotional, sensory, and physical factors shape relationships with food, and how these can affect confidence, nourishment, and overall wellbeing.

Caroline has specialist experience supporting people planning for pregnancy, during pregnancy and the postnatal period, when appetite changes, nausea, and body-image concerns can interact with eating difficulties.

She has contributed to key national pathways, co-developing the FREED dietetic resources for early intervention and helping create the PEACE guidance for autistic people with eating difficulties. Caroline also teaches on the NHS England Whole Team Training Programme and runs supervision groups for NHS eating-disorder dietitians.

Her approach integrates behavioural nutrition, exposure-based strategies, relational understanding, and trauma-aware principles. Across all her work, Caroline offers a warm, steady presence and a practical, collaborative style, helping people understand their body’s needs and move toward nourishment, flexibility, and confidence at a pace that feels safe and achievable.
